St.Peter's Angelic Cathedal Tallahassee

We went here today after I found a picture of it on google. This building looked beautiful and I LOVED the architecture!!

We got here after a 6 hour trip to see some family in Georgia. I wanted some pics there but I couldn't get clearance to fly in controlled airsapce. So we figured today would be the day for this beauty.






As soon as I got here and turned on my drone I looked down at my controller and saw this picture. I figured it was a great first shot and it didn't prove me wrong. The whole grounds are amazing from the plants to the doors. We spent a good hour just wandering around exterior of this church.

Spring House Tallahassee

The blog title today is slightly deceiving. We went to go to Spring House over here in Tallahassee and take some drone photographs. Unfortunately they were closed until Sunday. I figured I would try and fly over it and still get some pictures anyway. I found a place on the side of the road that I could park.

I parked on the side of the road and deployed my drone. The sun was already set behind the many trees we were surrounded by. I got the drone into the air and quickly realized I had no clear view into the house due to the immense amount of trees. I eventually gave up on the idea of photographing the house when I saw the color of the sky was starting to change.

The sun wasn't quite down all the way and I only took one battery with me so I decided to make due with what I had. I really wish I would have waited a bit longer to take the pictures to get the best ones. I still found some good ones though. The other ones can be found on my website: https://www.nashdronevidsnpics.com. I will end up going back there in 3 days when it is open to the public again and get the house.

The house is especially important to me as I have always loved architecture. I took 2 courses of drafting and design in high school and got my associates in it. This is a house by Frank Lloyd Wright, a very famous architect. It is the only one designed by him in Tallahassee. I am very anxious to see it. I will provide a link to the Wiki for him.

Pictures at Heritage Trail Park

We wanted to start off this blog with some beautiful pictures taken from Heritage Trail Park in Tallahassee. This is a truly remarkable place. The photos taken don't even encompass the whole lake. This is a very peaceful and somewhat secluded gem in Tallahassee. When we arrived there we were greeted with a sign saying alligators are common. However we are in Florida and that's just the way things work over here. 

We deployed the drone along the strip of land protruding out into the lake shown above. There were a couple of birds that I tried to capture but they seemed to not like that noisy thing in the air with a camera on it. Another one kept diving into the water. It was quite funny to see. We also saw a couple people fishing but really we saw less than 10 people in the park. We will go back sometime to get some more drone photographs.
